Help me give my students Rainbow Fraction Measuring Cups, Magnetic Pizza Fraction Games, and Magnetic Tiles and Fraction Manipulatives so that they can learn and demonstrate understanding of fractions.

My Project

My students are exceptional learners and finding new and unique ways to bring instruction to life for them is my passion. Each one of my students gains instruction in their own individual way. What is common to all of the students in my classroom is that they require specifically designed instruction so that they are able to truly gain understanding of the concepts being presented.

Fraction skills are important for everyday activities, from measuring cups of sugar for a recipe to managing finances.

In addition research has shown that there are strong links between a student 's ability to understand fractions and their success with algebra. It has been shown that improving students' fraction understanding is a critical step in preparing students for algebraic thinking.

The materials that I am requesting will provide items that my students can manipulate to increase their concrete understanding of fractions and how they are combined to create whole numbers. These critical skills will help my students excel in life.
