The majority of students at my school are economically disadvantaged. They are incredibly hardworking students who want to use education as a means of overcoming their situations. These students have changed my life and teach me every single day that you can truly accomplish anything you set your mind to.
My students absolutely love doing hands-on and interactive projects and activities that help prepare them for the real world outside of school.
Every day, I teach five different levels of Spanish classes which include classes for native and non-native speakers of Spanish. The majority of my students are native speakers of Spanish and for many of them it is their first time being formally educated in their native language. One of my classes is AP Spanish. These are my advanced eighth grade Spanish-speaking students who will take the AP exam at the end of the year in hopes of earning college credits!
Our classroom needs four more Chromebooks to have a class set of 20! Right now, our classroom has 16 Chromebooks. We started the school year with 12, and we have been working towards our goal of completely filling our Chromebook cart before the end of the school year.
Please help us reach our goal!
With a full class set of 20 Chromebooks, many of my classes will have their own Chromebook to do learning activities and projects. This will also give my larger classes the chance to work either with partners or individually. Right now, we barely have one Chromebook for every two students in my larger classes. More Chromebooks will mean more learning using technology in our classroom!
