My students need basic classroom necessities such as paper towels and lysol wipes for general clean up. The laminator will give me the chance to make sturdy and professional looking prompt cards for literacy centers.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Thank you for the opportunity to receive support for our class and school. We are a wonderful school with talented and kind staff; as well as students. A majority of our students come from economically challenged, bilingual families. Students often come from large families with many kids or divorced families. While we have some wonderful parents who help, most parents are unable to help in classroom. Students enjoy coming to school and being with friends and teachers. They are respectful and eager to learn.
Our school emphasizes teaching through Art and STEM and we are blessed with students who are engaged and excited about creative learning opportunities.
I have taught for 17 years but am new to this school and to 3rd grade. I am enjoying planning units and setting up my classroom for many enriching years to come.
My Project
A laminator will allow me to create materials for student use that have a professional and quality look to them. Laminating instructions, prompts and other center tools helps them last for years, making the effort of creating them much more valuable and efficient. At our charter school, teachers buy paper towels and personal use tissue (Kleenex) and cleaning supplies with personal funds or from a very limited budget.
The little things add up!
A little support for these small items, would go a long way in my class. Students deserve access to basic supplies such as these and any outside support would be greatly appreciated.
