Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever went to the store to get your favorite item, and when you get there they are all out! Suddenly you are told there is one left. That feeling of excitment and joy is the same feeling we get from our students in our classrooms. They are a compasionate, and smart group of students with a world full of knowledge beyond their young years.
Our students have this overwhelming drive to learn something new, to explore, and to question the world around them.
My Project
This past school year has been quite an adventure, nonetheless we made it through, stronger and more informed than before, together. Despite the climate we now live in we are determind to keep the learning alive, and the excitment that school brings to our children.
We want to ensure that students are engaged with the teacher and their peers by providing them with individual materials.
Students need tangible items to interact with for remote learning. We would like to provide the students with materials that they can revist and explore at their own pace. A magnifying glass is an item that can ignite curiosity and build on scientific inquiry and exploration. We want to ensure that every student has the best chance to succeed. As early learners we want to enstill literacy skills by providing students with individual copies of text to build a love for reading. The text chosen will aid in finding the differences among us while shedding light on our own personal strengths.
