My Students

Hello! I'm a Kindergarten teacher in a Title I school setting, where a significant amount of families qualify for free or reduced lunch. The children are eager to learn and ready to come to school everyday.

I am in need of a quality classroom library to support emergent and beginning readers.

A leveled classroom library will foster their independence and love of reading. Texts that are engaging will enhance their independent reading time.

My Project

The leveled readers will be used in our classroom library during independent reading time. The students will have the opportunity to access leveled readers during the learning centers. The leveled readers will foster a love of reading and build independent readers!

Students that have access to high quality text, will become better readers.

When Kindergarteners become independent readers, they need engaging books that will spark their interest to read more.

The leveled readers that were selected for this project have a variety of interests, both fiction and nonfiction. They are at various levels to meet the needs of all students.
