My students are wonderfully creative and imaginative thinkers. They amaze me with their innovative ideas and creativity! They are energetic and eager to learn!
My students love to learn from one another and they are very collaborative, cooperative learners.
We participate in many small group learning activities, and they are always respectful and thoughtful toward one another. We have a very diverse classroom, which makes our learning community even more special. These students are smart, motivated to learn, and passionate third graders!
My Project
These materials will help us to remain engaged in the last months of school as well as kick start our school year next fall. My students have been working on engaging in and practicing growth mindset and these materials for creating classroom meetings and mindfulness will compliment our purpose and focus.
My hope is to continue to provide students with tools and resources to help them build a foundation for emotional regulation.
When students are able to self-manage their behavior and regulate emotions, their capacity to learn is much higher.
Through our morning and closing meetings, I plan to teach students to identify their emotions, the causes for more extreme emotions, and ways to cope and problem-solve.
My goal is to teach students important life skills, how to manage stress and anxiety and also reduce disciplinary actions.
