Help me give my students a library full of books to help open up their minds to the diverse world we live in. They will have exposure to cultures, ethnicities, and traditions different from theirs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 4th grade darlings are very curious , kindhearted and have a passion for learning about different things. They are very respectful to each other even through distance learning. They live in a predominately Hispanic/Mexican neighborhood. The stories they tell are funny and very realistic to almost every household. I have to come ready the next day to fully engage in their conversations. We have established a community of learners.
My Project
The books on my list will be used as read alouds in my student's learning. Since we are currently Distance Learning, I will be reading to them and projecting the illustrations. I hope to have a dedicated wall in my home (for now) on the books that we are reading and what it may teach them to live in our diverse society. The exposure they get will increase awareness of other cultures and values, hence trying to bridge the gap between different cultures.
The students will be proactive during the read alouds and try to make connections to each book.
