Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I do not know my students yet, but I hope to give them an enormous library to foster a love of reading. I know that these kids will love seeing a huge selection of books for them to choose from. I will be a first year teacher at an amazing school next year and want to give my first class a great selection of books to choose from! I want them to find the love of reading I have always had.
My Project
Growing up, my parents read to me every night and that created a sense of imagination in me. I have continued to read and love how a book can take you to a new place.
I am a first year teacher and I have always believed that reading is so important.
Starting from scratch is hard and I want to make sure that all my kids have the opportunity to read a book they love and this project will help me do that.
Being able to add 140 books will give all my students a chance to foster the love of reading I have always had. I can't wait to share that with my first set of kiddos.
