My students need fossils and fossil molds for our next science unit.
How do you learn about something that you can not access?
My school is a high needs and low income school.
My students come to school eager to learn and go home eager to share what they have learned. They are energetic, bright and dedicated students who have a love of learning. Our school provides a safe and accepting learning environment which enables our students to grow.
We are completing our study of rocks and mineral and moving on to fossils! The students are super excited to be learning about the past but I am afraid reading about it in their text books and completing worksheets on fossils will not encourage their excitement. I am writing this project to ask for several fossil sets to help create mini labs in my classroom where the studnets can actually explore the fossils and make inferences about where and when these animals lived. I also am asking for fossil molds which will allow my students to create their own fossils to take home and share what they have learned with their families.
Your donations will help me to keep the excitement of science alive in my classroom.
My students need fossil samples and fossil molds to explore our next unit in science and learn more about Earth's history.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
