My Students
My students are a wonderful group of inquisitive and energetic third graders that have so much potential to grow as learners! Many students come from low income families and don't always have access to experiences that other children their age may have been exposed to. I want to help change their experiences by making their time spent in our classroom both meaningful and fun! I want my students to have as many different learning opportunities as I can possibly provide to them and know that school can be a wonderful place for them to grow and become anything they choose to be.
My Project
Third graders are wiggly and need to be able to move! These wobble chairs will allow them to wobble, rock or lean, which increases blood flow to the brain helping to keep their young minds focused and alert. By providing them with flexible seating options in our classroom, they will be more comfortable and open to learning. Flexible seating also provides students with some degree of choice and control over their learning environment. Flexible seating will also encourage students to find the perfect learning spot for them, allowing them to be the most productive. Lastly, I want to make learning fun for my students and flexible seating is a great way to do that!
