My Students

My students are diverse seniors who come to school ready to think critically outside the box, as they begin their college careers in various allied health fields, law, or the military.

As a science teacher, I have students who have a desire to learn and want to question the world around them.

Our school community works hard to provide a solid education for the 3400 students. In our school, there are over 57 languages and 30 dialects spoken in our vibrant and diverse community.

My Project

I am asking for a class set of scientific calculators. These calculators will make the work more accessible to every student because they won't have to do the calculations on their phones, borrow another student's calculator, or simply not participate because of the lack of having one. For example, students will be able to understand calculate, post mortem data, LD 50 for drug toxicity, or blood stringing.

With these calculators, as a class, my students can check in on each other's work as well as help another student when they get stuck on a problem.

My students will begin to see themselves as critical thinkers, having the ability to pieces of information together and crack the mystery of the case.
