My students need a camcorder to continue to document their work and progress. We have many events that include students and community.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
One of the impacting events of our growth is our memories of the past. Who we were, what we did, who were the people in our life are just a few of the parts of those memories.
Our 10th grade PE students attend a Title 1 inner city high school in a large school district.
Although our school is a magnet school the student selection process for admittance is unique. We are a hybrid magnet. Half of our student body must come from the immediate area. We offer an extended number of honor courses and partnership with a neighboring hospital, The hospital is instrumental with college scholarships and volunteer work experience.
Our physical education department also excels in programs that elevate the students' educational experience. Our 10th grade program is no stranger to technology. Our photo hallway gallery is always a popular spot for everyone. We have even documented some of our class activities. The still photos we post on our PE hallway wall and the we have even tried a little video taking this year. We will be putting everything together for our class "time capsule" My class borrowers the cameras and I feel it is time they have one of their own.
My Project
Our 10th grade PE class has become very welcoming to our sports photo activity wall located where as many as 115 students walk past every period on his or her way to and from PE. The 10th grade has slowly developed a bond of alumni friendship. The 9th graders are looking forward to her or her activity photo. All the photos are stored in print form and on graphic form on a CD. We speak of the alumni reunions to come. We speak of how it is important to respect everyone as people meet the same people climbing up the ladder of life as they do climbing dow. The students reflect on the fund lead up games and modified activities they have been a part of.
This year we began to video. This is anther dimension of remembering who we are and what we do. Moreover, it is a small component of bonding. It is important for the students to want to belong. Want to belong to the class, each other, and to the learning that is taking place in the class. We would love a camera of our own.
Our 10th grade class is working on giving to other.
Not just an abstract give but one related to bettering yourself through PE, Health awareness, Reading, Math, and improving the environment we live in. We are committed to the "Pay It Forward" project. We have funded 12 projects outside of our school. Yes learning will be fun but when the students take ownership of what they learned, put it into personal practice, then share with others that is went the exponential of learning happens.
