This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fun and energetic group of students, ages 3-5 years old, face various learning challenges. Their special needs stem from Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome.

These early learners enjoy exploring, learning, and creating new things everyday.

My classroom focuses on building developmental skills. Some of my students are learning numbers, letters & sounds while others are learning to read and write.

My Project

My students really enjoy reading time! My goal is to create an inviting library center in the classroom that houses an expanded array of reading materials ultimately allowing for a thematic unit.

These books will be a tool to help increase and improve my students focus and attention, as well as, develop their skills as they participate in read alouds and/or independent reading.

Children yearn to be surrounded by a print-rich environment and this project will serve to help make their classroom an inviting print-rich environment they can dive into on a daily basis.
