My Students

My students are eager young learners who love to learn in a variety of ways. They come to school each day ready to learn and are excited to see what each day will bring.

My biggest challenge as a teacher today is making sure I have the supplies necessary in my classroom.

Budget cuts have impacted the classroom tremendously and made it very difficult to provide a classroom environment conducive to learning.

Technology is also something that is changing daily and making it even more difficult to deliver quality lessons that will engage and interest my students.

My Project

Reading together as a class is much more enjoyable than reading alone. My class needs a class set of the novel A Wrinkle in Time. Since this novel has been made into a movie, students want to read it and I can't keep the 1 copy on my shelf that I have. Due to that, I would like to be able to read it in class with my students so we can turn their reading into a lesson that will engage them while exciting them at the same time. Having a class set now will also enable me to use the novels for years.
