Mrs. Eagle from Redmond WA is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

For the LOVE of Reading!

My students need a library of nonfiction books to feed their non-stop curiosity for real-world things. I want my students to LOVE reading and see themselves as readers!

My Students

My students are eager, enthusiastic and I want them to be empowered learners. Learning is and should be fun!

Our school is full of celebrated diversity and cultures.

Many of my students are on the free and/or reduced lunch program and have not had as many opportunities or exposure to rich literature and books. Our school is an amazing place where teachers work together to make each student succeed and to love learning.

My Project

Students will use these nonfiction books to practice reading skills they are learning and to gain information on real-world subjects that they are interested in. Students will be motivated by nonfiction subjects such as animals and insects and other real-life topics. Their little minds are sponges and they are curious about everything so they will love learning more information about the topics in this non-fiction library.

Putting more and more books in my students hands is the best experience I can give them.

I want them to love reading and for them to be able to choose texts that they are interested in will be extremely motivating as well as make them feel successful when they are able to read texts at their individual reading level.
