Mrs. McCrorey from Willis TX is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

For the Love of Literature

My students need leveled chapter book sets, including Favorites, Hi-Lo and Smart Nonfiction that they find interesting and engaging.

Hooray! This project is fully funded

My Students

"Today a reader, tomorrow a leader!" - Margaret Fuller. My students love to read and get the opportunity to do so every day. I would love to give my Gifted and Talented students more challenging books to read.

I am teaching a class of high achievers and hard workers.

The students in my room have high standards for themselves and their classmates. Many of these students love nothing more than having their nose stuck in an exciting adventure novel or a suspenseful mystery! Out school has an environment that encourages reading and learning about new things through text. However, we are a Title I campus and do not always have the funds to purchase newly released books for our students.

My Project

My students will be able to enjoy these books every day. They will have access to them through our classroom library. The children will be able to read the books and take Accelerated Reader Quizzes on them. The GT students will also be able to apply the elements of this literature to their advanced curriculum.

This project will enhance our classroom library and provide a new level of literature for my students to enjoy.

The students will be able to have access to new books that they otherwise might not be able to read.
