My Students

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning. My students are thoughtful, creative and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow problem solving. My energetic kindergarteners enter the classroom ready to discover, explore, and learn.

I teach Kindergarten at a school that's the oldest lasting African American founded school (since 1966) in Houston, Texas.

We serve the community by providing children the best resources and access to an education that will propel them to be individuals who will create an impact in a variety of ways. We are shaping minds and instilling onto students confidence, strong morals and character, creativity, and outstanding leadership skills that will influence society in the most positive of ways.

My Project

My amazing kindergarten students have been working hard all year long. I am so proud of their progress and how engaged they are in their learning and their responsibility in attending class each day, trying their best, completing their work, turning in their homework.

I would love to surprise my wonderful kindergarten students with fun Valentine's gifts to show them just how special they are!

The Valentine's Day goodies will be a great reward for all of their hard work. This will be my students' first time experiencing Valentine's Day at school, therefore, I want to provide them with a memorable experience by having them create fun crafts and celebrating Friendship Day with center rotations that not only build reading and math skills but also friendship skills.
