Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our goal is to help foster the love of reading in our students. We set reading goals throughout the year to help motivate our students to read. One of the incentives is for the students to earn a coin for our book vending machine.
The book vending machine allows the students to pick a brand-new book of their choice using the coin.
The machine vends the book and the student gets to keep it. The book vending machine has been one of the most asked-for incentives to date. It helps students get rewarded with books of their choice as well as helps them have access to literature at home.
