This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a lot of fun in our classroom. We support each other in learning and encourage each other to do better. We are animated and engaged! Our class motto is- I Can!!!

I have a special education classroom with diverse disabilities and backgrounds.

We celebrate our differences and consider our classroom our home. In our classroom, we are polite, we respect each other and support each other. We have a lot of fun! Each day is a new day for discovery.

My Project

My students take great pride in their library. Each book is a mini vacation for their brain. The Common Core Exemplar Text Library will help improve fluency and comprehension. They will also generate conversations about what they liked about the book and if they would recommend the book to a fellow classmate.

We are building our library with books that my students want to read.

For some of my students, this is the only place they get to read or get to read to an adult. Every time we get new books, it is very exciting for them.
