Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As I'm reading a story to my students, I pause to explain the meaning of the word aroma. "Aroma! That is a beautiful word!" one of my students exclaimed.
Future artists, football players, teachers, doctors, police officers, and so much more.
My students radiate so much love and light and are some of the most artistic and creative students I've ever worked with.
Being a first year teacher, my supplies are very limited. Working at a school that includes over 90% of students on free or reduced lunch, I don't want to place anymore financial burden on these families.
My students deserve the world and more. Please join me in providing the opportunities they deserve.
My Project
As a first year teacher, my accumulation of supplies is limited. These students are uniquely creative. Please join me in providing watercolors and oil pastels to create works of art that truly SHINE!
There is no an art program at my school, so it's up to me to provide supplies: Art is SO very important!
I will use these supplies to teach an art lesson once per week. Butterflies to teach about symmetry, cubism to implement our knowledge of geometry, and artistic representations of stories we've read.... these are just a few of the projects I will do with my students.
