This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Kindergarten is a very important year for many little ones as for most it is their first year in school. These little minds are eager to learn and experience something like never before. My classroom will be the beginning of how they view school and how they feel each morning as they head into school.

Although this is already a difficult year and many things will be different, I am hoping to bring some joy to my students and our classroom with a few awesome projects.

My Project

As we begin this year and head into some uncharted territory of hybrid learning my students deserve the best books and materials possible. Unfortunately I can not afford it all on my own and most materials are purchased out of pocket. As we begin the year I am hoping to be able to make custom bags full of books and manipulative for each one of my students as they learn online. I will be sending books home to my students to use during reading time. The phonics letters will be used to teach my students to create words using letter sounds. My students along with myself will find great use for all materials donated to our class!
