Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a highly diverse, low socio economic school. Many of our students are immigrants and multilingual learners. My students are kind, curious and intelligent fifth graders who love to learn. This year, I'm teaching math and science to approximately 40 students.

My Project

Teachers pay Teachers is a phenomenal resource for engaging online assignments. The resources are teacher created and always engaging and age appropriate. My goal is to be able to purchase online digital math mysteries that my students can use at home if they are unable to come to school for a while.

It has been challenging this year to provide highly differentiated tasks to students because of our inability to work in small groups due to Covid restrictions.

Using teacher-created resources will free up my time to work with my neediest students while ensuring that everyone is being challenged at their particular level.
