Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 6th grade in Carson, California. My students study Ancient Civilizations and Language Arts in my classes. My curriculum comes with several cassette tapes and CDs to aid in student learning. Many of my students struggle with understanding the textbook, and these audio tapes assist them in understanding important history concepts that they might otherwise miss. So what's the problem? I do not currently have a tape/cd player in my classroom on which to play the tapes/cds. As of now, I borrow another colleagues portable stereo, but this does not allow me the freedom to use these resources in the ways I would like. If you were to finance this project, my students would greatly benefit from this classroom tool. Thank you for your support!
