My students need the things in the cart so that we can practice indoors when it rains, or when it is simply too cold to practice outdoors.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have the pleasure of coaching a great bunch of boys. Most are fairly new to the sport, but are very hard workers and love the sport of baseball. I feel honored to be the 1st coach that many of these players will have.
My school is over 90% free and reduced lunch, so many of my players lack the necessary equipment to excel in the sport.
My team is made up of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, with varying skills sets. They are very eager to get the season started.
Because of the deep cuts to education in our state, we will not receive any new equipment for the baseball season.
My Project
The items in this project will allow our team to practice when the weather isn't ideal. The wiffle balls, bats, and bases will allow us to work on drills inside of the school building, and get more practice time in.
The baseball gloves will allow more players to join the team because not all of my players have their own baseball glove.
The bases plugs are needed because our current plugs are worn out. the buckets of baseball will allow us to have more stations going at once, instead of a couple at a time because we don't have many baseballs.
