Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our football players are excited to get their season going. They show up everyday ready to learn the game they love as well as excel in the classroom when off the field. Last year when our staff took over we unfortunately did not have a Junior varsity team and barely enough student athletes for a varsity. Our staff and students hard work paid off and JV is back this year. We are trying to bring this prestigious program back to where it once was. We
My Project
Flushing Football is in a state of rebuild. The coaching staff and I took over a program in need and within a year we were able to make great strides in doing so. We started with 8 student athletes last year and through hard work built the program back up to around 60 athletes. Our players show up everyday and are ready to work hard. They are also great people and students off the field sporting one of the highest team averages in the school. These girdles will protect their lower bodies while they play the game they love.
