My Students
I teach 2nd grade at a fabulous public school located in NC. My school is "home away from home" for students in grades PK-3. We are a Title 1 school and many of our students qualify for free lunch.
My 2nd grade students are eager, curious, and full of life! They are the VERY reason I am here, to try to get help for my precious students. Every single day is a new adventure for sure, and I thoroughly love my job!
My Project
My students are reading everything they can get their hands on! Nothing thrills me more than to watch them gobble up a good book and get so enthralled in it, they can hardly put it down. I want to keep their momentum going!
The other day some students asked why I don't have many "sports- related" books for them to read. Well you know they are right! I don't have many "sports-related books" and since they asked for them and I know they are interested in reading them, I knew right where to come and ask for some books they want to read.
I truly hope someone will help fund this project since my students requested more "sports-related" books that they want to read!
