Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our Title I school is entering its 3rd year and is located in the poorest congressional district in the country. We aim to develop internationally minded students that persevere through challenging situations and hold themselves accountable for their learning. We hold the belief that our students can achieve anything that they want.
All of my students work extremely hard to achieve high grades.
By asking questions and helping each other, my students ensure that they have a thorough understanding of the material we are learning. My classroom is a space where students feel welcome and supported.
My Project
While in school all students received free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students come from low-income houses and during this world crisis are not having their basic needs met.
Meals such as Quaker Oatmeal and Kraft Easy Mac Noodles will give my students the energy to get through their days.
Students are struggling to focus in remote-learning and complete their work because they are hungry. These meals and snacks will enable students to focus on their learning instead of their hunger. All of our students deserve to have access to food.
