This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are hardworking and enthusiastic with a desire to learn. Almost all of our students are from low-income​ families and come from a neighborhood that is economically deprived. However, they deserve an opportunity at a great education which can open many doors for them in the future. Economic status and geographic location shouldn't be a reason to not have the same opportunities at life as others.

My students are excited to set goals and reach them.

With your help, we can keep that excitement alive.

My Project

Some of the things that we take for granted others are in dire need for. This project expands from the school walls to the homes of our students and their families. This is a project to help us jumpstart a pantry for students in our school community. The pantry will help provide meals for days that school is out (weekends and non-attendance days).

Hearing stories of students who have to go without meals, or those that don't have enough to eat is heartbreaking.

With your help and support, we can help ensure that students have meals every day. This project is the beginning of a great program for our children. We thank you for your support.

With our food pantry, we provide frozen food items as well. We have trouble storing these items because we don't have a freezer. This freezer will support our food pantry and our students for years to come. This pantry has helped countless students and family members.
