What I love about my students is everything! They are attending school in a county with the highest number of families considered to be in poverty. Yet, these students come to school with hope. They come to school with a light inside them eager to learn. They are each a different little human, different little soul, with different needs.
They have so many barriers, traumas, diagnoses, and now, COVID.
I need your help. They need to be able to focus, stay on task, and feel energized with the help from you to fill their bellies.
My Project
Their spirit is still there hindered by a human's basics needs. In this project, I am asking for staples for my students: Staples in the form of food and beverages to help them sustain throughout the day.
Many students come to school without food in their bellies.
They come to school and all the can think about is that ache in their tummy. They cannot concentrate on learning, regulating their emotions, and or much of anything else.
By donating to this project you will be helping create a small food pantry for our students. I will use this donation to stock it full of powerful carbs, energy-inducing, and power-packed snacks.
When students basic needs are meet they can excel!
