My Project

My students are curious, diverse, and adaptable. As a public high school teacher, I see 160 different faces and personalities each day. While my students are nearing the end of their K-12 education, they still need strong support systems.

Most importantly, my students need love.

For that reason, I will create this same project twice each school year to ensure that students feel this love.

On a daily basis, I have students ask me if I have something to eat or something to drink. There have also been countless moments where I have seen a student not eating at lunch, to find out later that they did not have lunch money. Furthermore, for students that participate in athletic activities, lunch does not sustain them for strenuous activities

It is our duty to ensure that all students, even those that do not have financial means, are full, hydrated, and comfortable while in our care.
