Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is working hard to bridge the gap in our students' education. I work at a Title I school where 90% of our student population receives free or reduced-price lunch. My fourth graders continue to strive for greatness.

Please help us provide basic essentials for both students and staff!

Let's make this happen for them. The majority of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch as their families have very little income coming in, especially now, due to the pandemic. These loving families have risked everything to give their children the chance to accomplish the American Dream. We have the opportunity to come together and help make their child's dreams a reality. Our students need equal access to the necessary materials for classroom success!

My Project

The materials listed would provide students with the ability to curve any hunger throughout the school day. They will be able to use these items if they are ever hungry or thirsty. They will also provide personal hygiene bags for all. Eighty one percent of our school's population is on free and reduced lunch. I know my students will benefit greatly from these meal bags. The great thing about Miami Beach is we come together as a community. I know that my students would greatly appreciate these sustenance bags for the classroom and products to take home.
