Help me give my students snacks that will curb both hunger and behaviors!

My students attend a Title I, low-income school, but don't let that fool you! What they lack socioeconomically, they more than make up for with dedication and hard work. These kids are going places if only given the right tools. My students are struggling readers who display grade level deficits. Yet, reading is the foundation on which all other skills build. In order for these children to be successful, we must utilize an array of resources to promote learning.
Learning is a challenge, and it can be made more difficult when schools don't have the proper resources.
Our students do the best with what they have, but sometimes we need a little help to get to where we need to be in the classroom!
All of our students come from low income households. This means that at times our students aren't receiving the basic necessities. At our school, all students receive free breakfast and lunch. For some students, this is the only food they get. Food insecurity and lack of basic resources often times presents as negative behaviors. One response that we have come up with is an incentive system that allows student to earn "dollars" for doing the right thing, while also curbing problem behaviors. Students then use these dollars to "purchase" rewards at our school store.
Our students have requested that we offer snacks as rewards.
This is a superb idea, as it allows students access to foods they wouldn't normally get, while also providing them with a sense of satisfaction that they earned a reward on their own!
