The students at our school work HARD each and every day. We are an upper elementary school in Southern Mississippi. Students come from all walks of life. Many families are low-income, and purchasing school supplies is financially impossible.
Each smiling face that walks through the front door deserves recognition for their hard work and determination.
We demand excellence from the our students, and they rise to the challenge without hesitation. These students work every day to achieve their dreams, some just need a boost to make it a bit easier to reach them.
My Project
Math class requires endurance and grit. It is hard for students to focus on math when they are hungry. Not only do snacks encourage hard work, but sweet treats allow hungry students to focus on math rather than their growling stomachs.
One of the best ways to motivate students is to encourage friendly competition and reward students who are doing their best.
If you know any eleven year-old, you know that the best possible prize is a snack to eat while they continue doing their best work.
