I teach at a Title I school in a low-income area where eighty percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of my students are second language learners. Most of them do not have any school experience before entering kindergarten, but they don't let that hold them back. They crave social interaction and an opportunity to express themselves.
My students are kind and hardworking children who enjoy playing and discovering with friends.
They are always motivated and have a very positive attitude toward learning.
Our school is a low income school. Many parents are single parents with two jobs. They are working hard to provide for their children but they are struggling financially. Many of the children in our community come to school hungry. How can they learn if they are hungry?
On behalf of my motivated and hardworking students, I would like to ask for some healthy snacks for my kindergarten students to eat during recess time.
These healthy snacks such as nuts, fruit snacks, crackers, and cookies will help boost their energy and fill their tummies so they can focus on learning. Your support is greatly appreciated!
