On our fourth grade team, we share a vision with goals of how we want to grow together. The students' classroom shared vision includes their desire to "strive for excellence." That is what we do, but we face the challenge of very limited resources.
In our school district, we believe in preparing our students for the twenty-first century regardless of their background or circumstances.
We are a Title I school and have the highest number of ESOL students in our area. Our students are dedicated to growing as learners every single day!
My Project
Many of my students are unable to bring snacks to munch on throughout the day. When my students are hungry, it definitely has an effect on how they learn and complete their work.
By having snacks on hand in the classroom, I can make sure that ALL my students have access to food during the day.
Whether it's chips, granola bars, or crackers, if I know my students are able to have something every day in class to eat, then I know they will not go hungry.
With the cost of food being expensive, I simply am not able to buy snacks for the kids every day. With your generous donation, I'd be able to give all of my students a snack for the next few months!
