My students need critical school supplies such as pencils, nutritious snacks (many do not eat before or during school) and many students say they would like tea!
My 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are creative, caring problem solvers who love their families and community and want to do their best in life.
Our school's mission is to empower all students to be creative community leaders by providing them with a strong academic foundation, equipping them with 21st century skills, and instilling a community ethic.
Our students focus their learning through curiosity, reliability, empathy, affirmation, teamwork and strong effort, preparing them to be the leaders of tomorrow!
My Project
Due to family pressure and life circumstances, many of my students do not have the opportunity to eat at home and often come to school without any food. Many do not eat the food at our school for a variety of reasons. I want to be able to provide students with nutritious snacks (they will like) so they can engage in my class and succeed. Quite surprisingly many students request tea from me and I would like to be able to offer tea to them!
I am also in need of critical supplies (such as pencils) since many students are not able to bring baseline supplies to school.
