Help me give my students snacks for their long afternoon. Crackers, pretzels, and snack bars will help their stomach's stay full and keep their brains ready to learn.
As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with a variety of challenges both inside and outside of my classroom. Despite said challenges, my students start each day with a desire to learn and grow. My students work hard to be successful in their academics.
My classroom is a diverse and innovative educational community.
Many of my students have come to fifth-grade performing well-below grade level. However, I believe that through both words and actions all of my students can learn and be successful.
My Project
My students have the earliest lunch period in the school. When they arrive to school many of them are eating breakfast in the cafeteria. Just short of two hours later, we are heading to lunch. Then they have a four hour afternoon, which feels like an eternity with an empty belly.
Providing my students with snacks will help fuel their brains and keep their stomach's full!
With your help, they will be able to focus on their learning rather than their countdown until dinner. Simple snacks such as pretzels, snack bars, and crackers can make a huge difference in the success of my fifth graders. These snacks are quick and efficient, allowing me to return to what matters most... learning!
