I have 38 of the most persevering and deserving 4th graders on the planet. Many of them come from homes that are below the poverty line, but they show up at school every day ready to learn and give me their very best selves. They are fun, curious and hardworking.
It is impossible to succeed when you are hungry.
Many of my kiddos do not have the resources at home to provide daily snacks for themselves. These snacks will help me to provide each student with a daily snack during their much needed brain break.
My Project
It is impossible for any of us to be successful when we are hungry. These Pop Tarts, fruits snacks, and other snacks will provide nutrients for my students' bodies, fuel for their minds, and comfort for their hearts as they know they are loved and cared for. Giving my students a simple snack allows them to know that I care for their well being, and helps me to build and maintain strong relationships with my students, which helps them to show up to school each day and give their very best effort!
Feeling cared for motivates my students to come to school!
We can't teach them when they are not here, so I am willing to do anything I can to get them here each day.
