My Students

I work with a bright, high-energy group of students. These kids are from the North Woods and love the outdoors, especially the lakes, rivers, and forests that surround us.

Our district motto is to ACHIEVE, and my class does that daily through academics, character, and behavior.

My classroom is approximately 30% Native American. I am continually impressed at how motivated my students are when it comes to their learning. They are always up for a good challenge and exceed expectations!

My Project

Have you ever tried to concentrate on something when your stomach is growling? It is a major struggle! I want my students to have access to healthy afternoon snacks to keep them fueled for learning.

Let's make sure hunger is not a factor in student learning.

Healthy afternoon snacks will keep my students equiped for learning. Some of my parents or I will occassionally buy snacks for the class, but that's not economically realistic for all families. Having the extra snacks on hand would relieve monetary costs from my parents and benefit my students by keeping their stomachs happy and fed.
