it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I'm working to mold, shape, and inspire the inquisitive minds of 5th grade student by reminding them of what Albert Einstein once said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge".
My students come from an area where the odds are stacked against them yet, they continue to grow and strive for greatness. Sparking their curiosity and developing their love for science is my passion.
My students are problem solvers, critical thinkers, and truth seekers. We hypothesize, explore, experiment, and find answers to every day problems.
My Project
My students in all three classes would benefit greatly from these devices. Energy and how it flows is one of the hardest concepts for students to grasp because sometimes its something you can not see. Another difficult concept is how light refracts; with the laser pointers and the energy detector, students will gain an understanding about where energy is emitted, how light behaves, and how to measure electrical pulses if they are unseen. As a Science content teacher this will greatly benefit an entirely grade level. The materials will be part our sustained classroom curriculum that will be used year after year.
