Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful! They deserve the very best I can give of myself. Their faces are precious and they make my heart smile each time they walk in my room. Unfortunately, I don't always have the resources to provide each child with the materials they need to thrive. My students are eager and ready to learn. Their passion for learning grows every day. I love to see them engaged in our daily lessons in all subjects. I love my students!
My Project
Audiobooks have been proven to be successful in helping students from all levels. They have been used by nonreaders, struggling students, ESL, average to even the gifted students.
These tools will help my students expand their reading comprehension and listening skills as they listen to books on CDs daily during reading centers.
These audiobooks will help me Introduce students to books above their reading level, model good reading, teach critical listening, Introduce new genres that students might not otherwise consider and Introduce new vocabulary. Many students are avid readers while others are struggling to become readers. Audiobooks have something to offer all of them.
