This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My class for this school year is a kindergarten through fifth grade, self-contained, special education class. My students are energetic, fun, and loving. Each day the students in my class face a multitude of challenges both in school with their learning and outside of school in their home and personal lives.
My students overcome challenges day in and day out.
Coming from high poverty homes, many of my students have experienced significant trauma throughout their lives. By helping my class, you can help my students have the education that they need and deserve.
My Project
My students are struggling with sitting in front of a computer screen and focusing for the majority of the school day. No matter how fun and engaging we make our virtual classroom, we are unable to change the fact that students have to sit and stare at their computer screen for hours on end these days. For students in my class, this itself is daunting and an unfair expectation.
Please help me provide my students with the fidgets they need to make virtual learning more bearable.
