My Students

I teach a wonderfully energetic and creative group of students. They are eager to learn and love to explore new things together.

We are a STEM Magnet School located in a rural mountain community where we try to create and integrate as much 21st century learning experiences.

I have quite a few students who are in need of high levels of movement and encouragement. I am constantly coming up with new and engaging ways to teach them to keep them focused and excited to learn.

My Project

I will add these Wobble Chairs to my reading table during small group instruction to increase the student's focus and comprehension.

For my students to produce the best work they can, they need to be comfortable, and I want to prioritize students’ needs concerning the environment in which they learn.

Wobble Chairs allow students to release anxiety, deal with hyperactivity, and seek sensory input, which allows them to focus on what they are reading or writing

On average, children spend about ten hours of their day sitting, so classroom furniture should accommodate their natural need to move.

These wobble chairs will allow my students to stay focused and move their bodies without disturbing their classmates
