Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Deep down inside, my students just want to be loved and made to feel special. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to do this five days a week and touch the future through them.

Every morning I greet each student with a smile and a hug.

This starts our day off in the right direction. My words and gestures are encouraging which helps us focus on the positive. This is my 28th year in education, yet each year is as new and exciting as my first!

By having noise cancelling headphones, my students will be able to focus more on their work. Background noise can prevent students from being able to think and truly concentrate. A quiet classroom environment will dramatically increase student attention to the task. This, in turn, will increases student's self-confidence.

Students want to do the work and excel which produces happy students!

By donating to our project, students can enter the technologically literate world. This interaction increases their aptitude and their desire to learn.
