"It's Friday! Friday! FriDAY! Don't wanna work, I want to play!" This is a favorite chant of my fifth graders who visit at least three classrooms each Friday singing and praising for their hard work that they have completed that week. The students' enthusiasm for celebrating their hard work permeates throughout the entire building.
It's so fun to be a part of Mrs. C's fifth grade.
Although it seems we do a lot of playing, we work so hard to earn the right to play. Just as the song says, "Let's do our work and then we'll play!" Each morning students walk into the classroom with the desire to learn and ask, "Mrs. C, what are we learning today?"
One hundred percent of our school qualifies for free breakfast and lunch in our rural community, but participating in a variety of activities definitely keeps these fifth graders engaged and willing to learn. We also have a local National Guard Unit in our area and have a lot of military families with parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins serving in our beautiful country. We are dedicated to helping our students and their families.
My Project
My class is full of energy!! We love to learn and if our classroom had these energy balls it would help those students who just need a extra little bounce while they learn.
These Zenergy Ball chairs would help my students focus while learning about a variety of topics such as environmental science.
They would be able to bounce and bobble as they listen. The durable chairs are easy to move to use outside as well. This gives us the flexibility to explore topics outside the classroom and gives those students that need the extra bounce to stay focused during our classroom discussions. It is very frustrating when students are fidgeting and leaning on their chairs and not paying attention. These chairs are the perfect tool to help us keep focused.
