This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the pleasure of teaching twenty-four, super smart first graders. Unfortunately, my students come from a high-poverty, low socioeconomic community. Ninety-nine percent of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. Despite these circumstances, my children are full of spirit and have positive attitudes about learning. They absolutely love coming to school.
These first graders come in each morning with hugs and big smiles on their faces.
They are eager to learn and love for me to teach them new things. I want to make their learning experiences as meaningful and fun as possible.
My Project
My first grade students are excited about learning to read and love to show their skills to everyone. We have worked hard this year, and even though we have made a lot of growth, our year is not over. We are pushing to surpass our goals and be the best readers we can.
With these literacy activities, my students can stay focused and learn all the skills for second grade.
We are asking for vocabulary activities, sentence building activities, word building activities, and other reading focused games. Keeping my students engaged is a struggle sometimes, but with these activities, learning will stay fun! Please consider a donation to our classroom project.
