My Students

My students are hardworking 4th graders that I am excited to meet and get to know very soon! The students come from diverse backgrounds and attend the largest elementary school in Las Vegas.

The class will have about 35 students in a portable classroom with no windows.

I teach with a great team of teachers and we have found that when students feel comfortable in the classroom they preform so much better. I want to give them a warm welcoming environment that they are excited to come to each day.

My Project

Students need to be able to focus during independent work time and providing study carrels will help my class of 4th grade students get that much needed privacy. In a class of 35 students, it is hard to be able to stay on task while the teacher is working with small groups. These study carrels will give the students a place to work. The study carrels will also be great for standardized testing.

As a teacher I will be able to sit on my Balance Ball chair and work with small groups or allow students to sit on the chair as a reward!

This will be a special chair that stands out in a sea of hard plastic chairs that the students have to sit in every day.
