Help me give my students UNICEF power bands to track their steps and movement in order to unlock food packets that will be delivered to malnourished children.
100% of the students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school has a growing Blessings in a Backpack program, where students get to fill their backpacks with food for the weekend. Our school also has a food pantry program for the families. We teach our students how to become successful in setting and reaching their goals.
They are courageous speakers and strong leaders who seek opportunities to learn something new constantly.
My students are inspirational leaders who impress me daily. Every day, they strive to become better readers, mathematicians, writers, scientists, researchers, problem solvers, friends, leaders, and critical thinkers. They learn and practice skills that will ensure their successful futures. These students are the future of our community and the world. I want to give them the best tools that will allow them to reach their goals, and help brighten each of their futures.
My Project
These power bands will allow students to track their fitness growth daily! My students already practice fitness inside our classroom and try their best to stay active. We break up our day with exercises inbetween subject areas to keep our minds and bodies fresh and active.
The UNICEF power bands will allow students to track their growth, creating concrete data that will drive their fitness goals.
The bracelets will track our movements and steps, which in turn will be turned into points so we can give food packets to malnourished children. My students thrive on their fitness breaks, and giving them a tool that will make it more exciting and engaging will make it even more exciting for them!
