My students range from 6th to 8th grade and have a wide variety of needs and abilities. All of my students are on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) which help to ensure that they reach their highest level of achievement.
Although my students have challenges which make traditional schooling more difficult, my classroom offers a place where they can relax and feel empowered!
In my class students focus on reading, writing, and life skills which will help them be successful in their futures, and I push them to do their best possible work!
My Project
The wobble cushions and overhead fluorescent light diffusers will benefit my students immensely. The wobble cushions allow students to move in their seats without distracting others. The overhead fluorescent light diffusers will help to create a calmer room environment by toning down the extreme brightness that comes from fluorescent lights.
Students with diverse needs require unique supplies to help them succeed.
Along with their sensory needs, my students need direct instruction in real life language and literacy. My students come into my room to find acceptance and support, but are still missing a few critical supplies that will help them to succeed.
