Students in this classroom have a strong desire to be successful despite the many challenges that they face outside of school. From homelessness to undesirable living situations, we do our best to make school their safe place.
With the extra support of the TLC learning environment and emphasis on social and emotional supports, many of these students are able to excel further than they would be able without it.
Every day is special and starting each day checking and connecting to make sure they know that we are there to listen and help as much as possible keeps them going.
Every TLC student is unique and special in his and her own way. We want to make sure we can provide them with whatever they need to reach success at every level.
My Project
These materials will make a daily difference in the lives of my students' learning. Having access to sensory fidgets will allow students opportunities to focus on their work and ignore surrounding distractions,
Access to snacks makes all the difference in providing brain power during the day!
All boys with tons of energy, I often feel like we are keeping up with their growing appetites, and hunger is not good when attempting to focus on school work.
These donations will provide more beyond what we are already able to budget in. Fidgets, balls, lighted sensory tools, games, and snack items donated will be utilized daily!
